A new poll has put women’s safety in London back at the centre of the capital’s political debate. The finding is not based on one incident or one neighbourhood, but on a wider survey of adult Londoners about whether life in the city now feels safer or less safe.

The JL Partners survey, carried out for the London School of Economics, found that 61% of women in London believe the capital has become less safe generally. The poll interviewed 2,022 adults online between March 17 and 27, with the data weighted.
