UK iPhone and Android users are being warned to look closely at the chargers they use every day. The danger is not limited to one phone brand or one cable type, because unsafe USB chargers can affect almost any device plugged into them.

The warning follows a Which? investigation into USB phone chargers sold through major online marketplaces. Which? bought 15 chargers from seven marketplaces and found nine were electrically unsafe, with risks including electric shock, fire and explosion.
