Musk"s description of the film as "historically accurate" has sparked widespread debate, given that The Odyssey is considered one of the most famous legendary literary epics, dating back nearly 2,800 years.

The epic is full of mythical elements such as the one-eyed giant "Cyclops", multi-headed monsters, and the witch "Circe" who turns sailors into pigs, prompting many to question the possibility of presenting a work characterized as "historically accurate" in light of these legendary events.
